Diamond guide
Cut
At the heart of our diamond selection lies the art of cut and shape. We're most interested in how each stone is cut to reveal its interaction with light.
From classic round brilliant to elegant oval, dramatic marquise and perfect elongated cushions, we source any preferred stone.
Carat
In ancient times, diamond traders compared a stone's weight to the seeds of the Carob tree. These seeds gave us the word 'carat', now the standard unit of a diamond's weight. A diamond's value depends on more than just its weight – cut, colour, and clarity all play crucial roles. Yet beyond these technical measurements, we prioritize a stone's rarity and inherent beauty as the true markers of its worth.
Clarity
Forged in the earth's depths under intense pressure, diamonds bear unique internal characteristics called inclusions. These natural markings define a stone's clarity, graded from flawless to included based on their visibility and complexity. Truly pure diamonds are exceptionally rare, making each stone's individual character a testament to its remarkable journey.
Color
Diamond color is assessed on an alphabetical scale ranging from D to Z, with D representing the purest, most colorless stones. These top-tier colorless diamonds are exceptionally rare and highly prized.
